There are thousand hidden, but beautiful courtyards in Berlin, sometimes for tourists like Hackeshe Hoffe or in Oranienburguerstr. with many shops , other times private like in Kastanien Allee or some houses in Mitte. I recommend one in Rosenthalerstraße 39, full with Graffiti and 2 huge sculptures which come to life with 1€ coin (sometimes fail). There are some coffeeshops and, upstairs, the comic store and gallery Neurotitan.
